Passengers heading to Batam and Bintan can now expect immigration to take just 10 seconds – and no passports are needed. The newly upgraded Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal has reopened after a year-long renovation costing S$20 million. Self-service kiosks, automated bag drops, and more arrival and departure lanes have been added. Other new facilities include an outdoor children’s playground.
