Iran has reportedly signalled it has no plans for immediate retaliation, after what several sources suggest was an Israeli attack on its territory in the latest apparent tit-for-tat exchange. It has sparked fears that tensions between the two rivals could morph into a wider conflagration. America’s top diplomat has refused to comment on reports of an attack on central Iranl.
