Vladimir Putin said Russia will pass through its current difficult phase and emerge victorious, as the president took power for a record fifth term. Mr Putin was sworn into office at the Kremlin, after securing a fresh six-year mandate following a landslide victory in elections in March. He said Russia remains open to other countries and will not shut off dialogue with the West. The 71-year-old leader has ruled Russia since 1999 and his new term expires in 2030. Dasha Chernyshova reports.
