America is suffering from its worst overdose epidemic in history. The number of deaths from drug overdose in the country reached a record 108,000 in 2022. This figure has been rising almost every year for the past two decades. Most of the deaths have been linked to synthetic opioids like fentanyl, which is 50 times stronger than heroin — meaning that even in small doses, it can be deadly. Kate Fisher reports.
