Here we go, here we go on a mission undercover – in Singapore, apparently. After a decade-long hiatus, the hit French cartoon Totally Spies! returned with its seventh season on Sunday (May 12) in France. The show centres around three teenage girls – Sam, Clover and Alex – who are secretly spies with missions all over the world.
On the same day of the season’s French premiere, the English version of the show’s trailer dropped online.
The trailer shows a brief glimpse of the Singapore Flyer and Marina Bay Sands, as the words “Totally new location” show onscreen. A few seconds later, a woman – dubbed in the video as “Totally new boss” – informs the main characters that strange and frightening creatures “are all over Singapore”. This has prompted speculation that this new season of Totally Spies! is set in Singapore.
